Every 16 Minutes, an Unborn Child Loses Their Life in Michigan

Al Lemmo is the only candidate for Congress willing to fight for the unborn

While political insiders stay silent, Al Lemmo is willing to say what others won’t: the unborn deserve protection.

As the only pro-life candidate running in Michigan’s 8th District, Al Lemmo is fighting back against a culture that has normalized the destruction of innocent life.

Because behind every abortion statistic is a heartbeat that never got the chance to keep beating.

Michigan’s Abortion Numbers Should Horrify Us

31,241 abortions in one year. That’s enough to erase the population of an entire Michigan town in just twelve months. Nearly 30% of those abortions occurred after 8 weeks gestation, when an unborn child’s heartbeat, movement, and development are already well underway.

And Michigan has increasingly become a destination state for abortion tourism with nearly 10% of abortions performed on women traveling from out of state.

Nearly 2,604 abortions every month

More than 600 every week

About 85 every day

One every 16 minutes

By the time most people finish reading this page, another unborn child in Michigan may have already lost their life. And while other Republicans in this race stay silent, dodge the issue, or treat life as just another talking point, Al Lemmo is willing to actually fight for the unborn without compromise.

And while some chameleon conservatives blur the line between conviction and political convenience, Al Lemmo is willing to stand firmly for the unborn without compromise. Some Republican politicians get so wrapped up in appeasing the other side that they start adopting its language. They call it “healthcare.” They call it “choice.” They call it “progress.”

But Michigan families know better. A society cannot claim to value human rights while denying the most basic right of all: the right to live.

A Man Determined to Fight for Our Values

Not one of the few. The only one. Al Lemmo is unapologetically pro-life because moral clarity should not be controversial. At a time when even Republicans carefully poll-test every opinion to avoid backlash, Al Lemmo is willing to speak clearly about what’s happening in Michigan and why it needs to change.

Because real leadership isn’t about staying silent when innocent lives are at stake.

As your Congressman, Al Lemmo will fight to:

Defund Abortion Providers

Michigan taxpayers should not be forced to support organizations that perform abortions while families across the state struggle to afford healthcare, groceries, and everyday necessities.

Protect Babies Born Alive

Children born alive after failed abortions deserve immediate medical care and legal protection. Al Lemmo supports protections ensuring every child born alive is treated with the same dignity and care as any other newborn.

Stop Late-Term Abortions

Michigan law allows abortion after fetal viability when deemed medically necessary by a health professional. Al Lemmo supports stronger protections for viable unborn children later in pregnancy.

Defend Medical Freedom

Doctors, nurses, and faith-based hospitals should not face punishment or discrimination for refusing to participate in abortion procedures that violate their conscience or religious beliefs.

Weak Politicians Created This Crisis

For years, career politicians refused to fight while abortion activists pushed Michigan further and further toward extremism.

Now:

• Abortion is treated as untouchable

• Activists are pushing for taxpayers to fund even more abortions

• Babies can be aborted late into pregnancy

• Pro-life voices are attacked for speaking out

And too many Republicans are too afraid to say a word about it, but Al Lemmo refuses to stay quiet while innocent lives are lost every day.

Pro-Family. Pro-Freedom. Pro-Life.

Michigan families deserve leadership grounded in conviction, not politicians who shift with pressure or stay silent when it matters most.

Al Lemmo is running to defend life, protect families, support mothers, and push back against the radical agenda reshaping Michigan. Now it’s up to Michigan voters to decide what kind of future they want to defend.
